Join Georgia’s Coalition for the Peoples’ Agenda and the Georgia Cannabis Equity Collective for our
3rd annual Politics, Challenges, and Opportunities of Cannabis Community Conference, hosted at Morehouse College during their homecoming week festivities with! Our conference is centered around educating young voters and informing the Black community about upcoming cannabis legislation as well as political, economic, & social equity in this new industry. Our goal is to inform the Black voter about their power to change their lives and impact their community by being informed, so our community’s interests are not forgotten in the larger conversation.
As cannabis becomes legal across the country and opportunities become available, people of color are often left out.The opportunity to increase financial security, build businesses, and access medical care for people of color is crucial but unfortunately, we usually do not have a seat at the table let alone have knowledge of, and access to, information and resources. working to bring information to the Black community, so the Black voter can make educated decisions about who and what they support, and to encourage our community to be active and educated about these issues. Additionally, it is crucial to share information regarding economic prospects that will arise as part of the growing cannabis industry here in Georgia.
